My Whanau Story

My Whanau Story

Being my Dad-

As the warm, sweet scented air drifted from the kitchen, up into my soft breathing nose. Then, a thought hits into my brain… The smell of the warm baked Batter, and the brown coat of Icing… Chocolate Cake, the best Cake in the world, my mouth starts flooding with the thought of Cake. I’m soon going to eat that, as I gather up my thoughts, like a Vacuum.

(Not being my Dad)
Grandma’s childhood, grandma, to start off with, her name was Wilhelmina Flourence Kydd. I never have got to meet her, but my Dad, Martin Kydd, has told me all about her. When she was at High School, she had the best Grades and passed on all the Exams! I don’t know her Birthday, but I know now she will probably be 80! (If she was alive!)

Grandma got born in Oamaru, and before she had my Dad and Aunty, she moved to Christchurch. From what my Dad said, her life was as expected, it was hard at times but she kept on Striving on… Apparently Dad and my Aunty, were a pain in the back… Sometimes, but she was glad. She enjoyed her Life very much.

Grandma never got to meet my Mom… Or me, she died with Cancer, a year after, My Grandad died of a Stroke… But, he got to see my Mum and Dad get Married, so he was Happy.
My Grandma had a great life, even if I havn’t got to see her, I Love her.

Out goes the Old ”
